Can the IR Blaster read the air conditioner's temperature, compressor status and other parameters?

No. The IR Blaster cannot read the actual internal operating parameters of an air conditioner.

IR communication between the IR Blaster and the AC unit is one-way. The IR Blaster sends commands to the AC, but the AC does not return status information.

When the AC receives an IR command, it may update settings such as:

• Power On/Off
• Operating mode
• Temperature set point
• Fan speed
• Vane or louver position

The AC may generate a beep when receiving the command. However, this does not provide any electronic feedback to the IR Blaster.
